Foreword I probably shouldn't be introducing this book because I'm such a prominent part of it. But I'd like to say a few words from the viewpoint of a homeopathic doctor. This book is a gateway for the explorer into the strange but wonderfully curative world of homeopathy-a safe, inexpensive, sophisticated and scientific of medicine now finally gaining the acceptance it deserves. Most texts on the subject read like the telephone book. Now finally there's a fast-paced, accurate, exciting book that truly entertains while conveying the full depth and breadth of homeopathy-from acute ailments to deep chronic disease-in children and pets as well as adults. It's easily the best writing I've ever seen on the subject. Right from the start you get involved with Bob's personal odyssey, his true-life adventure. He sucks you into the struggles, uncertainties, paradoxes and agonizing setbacks of his chronic allergy case. Once his story is underway, he jumps to the technical aspects of homeopathy. After that, chapters on his case alternate with technical chapters on discovery, history, theory, philosophy, pharmacy, immunizations, veterinary, dentistry, curable chronic diseases and profiles of homeopaths. He finishes with a blaze of what we readers like best . . .the satisfying outcome of his case and many others. Along the way the book is full of great success stories. In cases of all kinds we see homeopathy at work dramatically during every sort of affliction from bee-stings to deeply seated chronic conditions. Like a fly on the wall you sit in my office and watch the drama unfold. You see the author's wife develop into an excellent homeopathic home prescriber, and watch the world master unravel a difficult case. Bob has mustered considerable writing ability-and not a little personal courage-to open the way for others. The story of his growth is fascinating. Homeopathy produces a radical change in one's world-view regarding symptoms, medicines and cure. Bob has made that adventurous transition and willingly shares his experience. He has opened the door to new possibilities, making it clear what homeopathy can do, what it costs, why it is becoming so popular, its drawbacks, the hope it offers to sufferers of all kinds. The book will be invaluable for people in search of curative treatment. Bill Gray. M.D.
