Peaceful Passing

Introduction

This little book had a sudden and surprising beginning. One day it dawned on me that a number of things I’d recently learned fit neatly together to synergistically produce an exciting new concept of death—a new paradigm. For the first time I saw previously invisible connections.

This new paradigm, I realized, had the power to prevent untold suffering, replace ignorance with knowing, turn negative into positive, change lead into gold. And I felt I could put it all together in a small package that would give new hope for life while demolishing the fear of death.

Here are the elements that suddenly connected: Death is the biggest blank spot on the map of mankind’s knowledge. Because none of us have experienced it and lived to tell the tale, we know absolutely nothing about it. Death in our society is truly terra incognita. Being essentially unknown, Death makes us feel helpless and frightened. It’s probably the greatest single, longest-lasting source of worry in our lives.

Our ignorance and fear of death make us prey to all kinds of terrifying myths about it. In this vacuum of information, the myths have grown more and more grotesque—helped along by self-seeking institutions that use fear of the unknown to enforce control over an innocent populace.

For instance, we’ve come to believe that death is utterly beyond our control, and that an honorable death in our culture requires physical deterioration—in total disregard for human suffering or the quality of life.

No wonder we go through life with the brakes on, living at half speed, anxiously looking over our shoulder, letting fear erode the quality of our lives. And we accept this misery as normal and inescapable.

So it’s ironic that we’ve always had access to matchless authorities on death and the hereafter, experts with vast experience of innumerable deaths who are willing, even eager, to explicitly tell us what awaits us both in death and the afterlife. And their news is all good. The only hell, they assure us, is on earth—not in the beyond!

These authorities are beings like us who once walked the earth. They speak to us now from the other side through channels. They tell us that we’re totally, tragically wrong about death and the afterlife. What we mindlessly dread is actually something to look forward to!

First of all, they tell us, the essential person never dies. All that we’ve become simply shifts to the non-physical realm. Modern science completely concurs.

The experts further assure us—and all Near Death Experiences on earth validate their view—that every death is a suicide because nobody can die until they make the decision to let go of life. People die because they want to, when they’re ready to go!

This revelation leads to the exciting realization that we each have the power to take full control of our passing! We don’t have to wait helplessly for death to overtake us—or violently kill the body with suicide or euthanasia. We can each take full control of our dignified death!

At this point I began excitedly digging out every reference I could find from channeled entities on death. I discovered that all we have to do to take complete control of our death is (1) discard our old belief that we’re utterly helpless, replacing it with the conviction that we’re fully in charge; and (2) make our ultimate decision to let go of life both conscious and deliberate.

I have known for some years that I enjoy complete control of every aspect of my life, that I’m constantly creating with my desire and belief and expectation. Using this knowledge, I’ve created great success in every area of my life. So it was easy, by extension, to believe that I also enjoy complete control of my death. Death, after all, is merely the final event of life.

I’m far from the first to make this discovery. The experts report that spiritually aware, enlightened people everywhere take control of their deaths by rejecting society’s fatalistic, helpless beliefs and replacing them with the knowing that they are totally in control—just as wise men and women have done down the ages.

All we have to do, the experts assure us, is flip a mental switch or two. We have a right to die when and how we want—even young and healthy—and we have the ability to do so at will. It’s okay, they tell us, to depart whenever we want.

When it’s time to move on, it’s only necessary to sink into a deep, final sleep with the clear and passionate intent of waking up in the non-physical realm. Anyone can do it. Advance preparation is not essential, although it helps. Examples in chapters two and eleven show how the process works.

Furthermore, the firsthand picture the experts paint of life in the hereafter is something to look forward to. In fact it’s so appealing that I sometimes find I actually envy the dying for the wonderful relief they’re about to receive, and for the heavenly—not hellish—fresh adventure that awaits them!

For myself, when that adventure becomes more alluring than remaining in this lifetime, I’ll simply release the essential me from my body. That’s how I intend to change worlds when I’m ready. You can, too.

The purpose of this book is to show you how. It will also show you how to create a happy, successful remainder of your life. It’s all waiting in the pages that follow. Get ready for a genuine journey of discovery!
